Component Test Stand

YJSP’s Component Test Stand (or CTS) is the central test bed for qualifying and characterizing the many custom-designed valves and subsystems the team produces. Designed and built from-scratch, the stand features a pressure-fed cryogenic liquid nitrogen/water testing leg (to simulate LOX or Kerosene conditions on a rocket) alongside a 6000-psi gaseous nitrogen leg (to simulate vehicle pressurization).
CTS has been used extensively, testing our custom main valves, quick disconnects, vent valves, and even our under-development electric pump. We firmly believe that to launch successful rockets, you must Test Like You Fly.
