Prometheus

Prometheus is a Kerosene-Liquid Oxygen (KeraLox) ablatively cooled composite liquid rocket engine. It uses a silica-epoxy thermal liner to protect the engine from hot combustion gasses, and a carbon fiber epoxy overwrap to reinforce the structure. Thanks to its lightweight materials, Prometheus weighs just 25 lbs and can withstand nominal chamber conditions for up to 30 seconds.
